KSU Nuclear Science Day

Nuclear Science Day at KSU!
On Oct. 24th, 2015 our Cadette troop got together with other area where Girl Scouts had an opportunity to go behind the scenes with a special tour of KSU's nuclear reactor. They measured the half-life of a radioactive isotope and saw demonstrations of several atomic-scale science experiments. They explored the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power as compared to other common sources of electric power. Thank you, K-State for showing girls what is possible through STEM!
