| Nuclear Science Day at KSU! |
On Oct. 24th, 2015 our Cadette troop got together with other area where Girl Scouts had an
opportunity to go behind the scenes with a special tour of KSU's nuclear
reactor. They me
asured the half-life of
a radioactive isotope and saw demonstrations of several atomic-scale
science experiments. They explored the advantages and disadvantages of
nuclear power as compared to other common sources of electric power.
